Mer skandaløs klimaforskning avslørt

Mens man i politisk klimaforskning kan tillate seg å bruke metoder som er utenkelig i all annen forskning, så er det likevel ett område i klimaforskningen som skiller seg ut med manglende seriøsitet, og det er forskningen på havforsuring. Et ferskt oppslag i Science Magazine avdekker det mange vet fra før, data forfalskes for å støtte umulige konklusjoner, som igjen misbrukes av Klimapanelet. 7 redelige unge forskere går nå ut med hva de vet i et forsøk på å etablere vitenskapelig redelighet på dette fagfeltet.

Her er hovedpersonen i denne forskningsskandalen, som presentert i oppslaget hos GWPF i London.

James Cook Universitetet – nå igjen

JCU som dette universitetet kalles, er en mektig institusjon i Australia, og dets «Centre of Excellence» for korallrevstudier, i byen Townsville, er ledende i utdanningen av politisk korrekte marinbiologer. Men mange vet bedre, dette instituttet er også kjent for alt annet enn kvaliteten på egne studier. Her har professor Philip Munday siden 2005 forfattet eller vært medforfatter til ca 250 studier. Dette JCU-instituttet bruker og misbruker sin makt til å selge eventyrene om havforsuring, om døende korallrev, og om den menneskeskapte klimakrisen som årsak. Dramatiske konklusjoner i forskningen og en enda mer useriøs medieomtale gjør at pengene renner inn, og for å beskytte denne pengestrømmen brukes skitne triks mot varslere og andre kritikere som utrenskes når de bruker sin akademiske ytringsfrihet. Mønsteret er kjent, for også i Norge (les Bergen) har vi aktører i klimaindustrien som bruker slike metoder.

Her er noen av de sterke konklusjonene i forskningen som nå er i søkelyset, basert på påstanden om at mer CO2 er farlig for korallrevfisk da det endrer deres oppførsel:

  • fisk mister evnen til å lukte rovfisk og tiltrekkes av lukten av rovfisk
  • fisk blir hyperaktive
  • fisk får svekket syn
  • fisk mister tendensen til automatisk å svømme til venstre eller høyre

Andre forskere som gjentar eksperimentene greier ikke å finne de samme resultatene. Ikke nok med det, men kolleger av de mistenkte juksemakerne har rapportert at eksperimenter beskrevet i studiene ikke har funnet sted, og at data er blitt forfalsket. Science Mag gjør kvalitetskontroll, og får bekreftet at her er ikke alt som det skal være.

Fra før er det kjent at havforsuringsforskningen også i USA bruker svært kreative metoder. I stedet for å pumpe mer CO2 inn i bassenget med fisk eller andre arter, for så å vente på resultatet av dette endrede CO2-nivået, så heller forskere istedet syre ned i bassenget, ifølge dokumentasjon vist av Dr. Willy Soon i flere foredrag.

Foretrakk abboryngel å spise mikroplast?

Dette ble mer enn antydet om yngel i Østersjøen i en fiskestudie fra svenske postdoktor Oona Lönnstedt ved Uppsala universitet, i en studie publisert 2015 i Science Mag hvor det også ble hevdet at fisken ble mentalt forstyrret av mikroplasten, men studien er senere trukket tilbake etter avsløringen av forskningsjuks. Denne typen forskningskonklusjoner er gull verdt for IPCC- leiren og deres allierte, de grønne NGOene, som aldri nøler med å blåse slike saker opp i mediene.

Lönnstedt hadde lært sine forskningsmetoder og sin etikk ved JCU under kyndig veiledning fra ingen ringere enn Philip Munday. Eksperimentet hun beskrev i sin studie viste seg å aldri ha vært utført, det ble simpelthen diktet opp, og hun ble felt for vitenskapelig uredelighet sammen med sin litt for naive veileder og medforfatter professor Peter Eklöv. Granskningen avslørte at hun ikke engang var tilstede på forskningsstasjonen på Visby i den tiden hun hevder eksperimentet pågikk. Også dengang hadde varslerne vanskelig for å bli trodd, og Oona Lönnstedt hevdet til og med det ikke var grunnlag for kritikk, og at varslerne rett og slett var sjalu på hennes banebrytende forskning.

En av grunnene til at denne typen forskning kan bli avkledd i Sverige, men ikke i Australia, er at våre naboer har CEPN (Centrala etikprövningsnämnden). Australia og JCU har ingen slike etiske kontrollmekanismer. Her har også Norge mye å lære av våre naboer i øst.

Krav om granskning av mulig juks i 22 studier

I all hemmelighet forlangte de 7 unge forskerne som nå er i frontlinjen med sin kritikk, allerede i august i fjor at de som finansierte studiene måtte granske forholdene. De konkrete anklagene om forskningsjuks ble ikke rettet mot Munday, men mot hans medforfatter Danielle Dixon (USA), som later til å ha fulgt mønsteret fra Oona Lönnstedt. Men lite skjer, og i mellomtiden møter varslerne hard kritikk.

Otto Pörtner ved Alfred Wegener Instituttet i Tyskland, mener de 7 som kjemper for vitenskapelig redelighet skader havforsuringsforskningens omdømme. Siden havforsuring som fenomen er en kjemisk umulighet grunnet alle mineralbufferne i havet, er dette et snodig argument, bare basert på skremsler. Pörtner er ekspert på, ja du gjettet det: havforsuring, og han er leder av WG2 i årets IPCC-hovedrapport, så tankene går til bukken og havresekken. IPCC-leiren er lite begeistret for å miste ett av årets store skremsler foran høstens klimatoppmøte i Glasgow, men ikke forvent at mediene i Norge vil skrive et eneste ord om denne skandalen. Klimasirkuset må fortsette, for enhver pris.

Fredrik Jutfelt er en av de 7 varsler-forskerne som er intervjuet i Science Mag. Han er førsteamanuensis ved NTNU i Trondheim (offisielt NTNU-foto), og viser til at realitetene er komplekse og at det han har lært underveis har gjort ham til en bedre forsker.

Science Mag omtaler en meta-analyse av 95 papers (Jeff Clements, Fisheries and Oceans Canada) som viser at sterke effekter fra tidlige studier på fagfeltet forsvinner helt eller delvis i senere studier. Dette har en sammenheng med hvordan forskerne lærer mer med årene om hvordan eksperimenter skal eller ikke skal gjennomføres.
